Justin Kirsten has done it , he won the Matebeleland amatuer championship over the weekend, after having trailed Tonderai Masunga. The number 2 ranked Junior player in the country shot 73, 71, 68, and 71 for a total of 283 to take the trophy. In second place was Tonderai Masunga with 72, 70, 68, 76 for a total of 286. In third position was Gary Thompson with a score of 72, 71, 75, and 72.
The tournament was the first of the five Eisenhower qualifiers. The 72 hole tournament played at the Bulawayo Golf Club
